Mezcal Unión El Viejo, crafted with a blend of Espadín and Tobalá agaves matured for between 6 and 8 years, features notes of butter cinnamon, wood and mesquite.

When enjoying neat, it goes well with guava paste and fresh cheese.

El Viejo means 'the old man' in Spanish, and it's a tribute to the old man from Oaxaca who inspired the founders to strive to bring unity and collaboration to the world of mezcal in order to preserve it, and to name the brand Unión to serve that purpose. Mezcal Unión El Viejo is a blend of Espadín and Wild Tobalá agaves which have been matured for 8 to 14 years. This joven (un-aged) mezcal has robust flavor notes that make it ideal to enjoy neat or as the base for spirit-forward cocktails.

Mezcal Unión collaborates with several communities across different villages in Oaxaca, Mexico, empowering maestros mezcaleros and agave farmers to become entrepeneurs of their own businesses.
